There is a lot that GIS users need to know in order to successfully and safely use UAS (drones) for mapping. This workshop will cover the basics of all the elements of UAS: Platforms, Sensors, Processing and Delivery. A review of the current state of Federal and State regulations on the use of UAS will also be provided. With many new technologies coming out literally every week, this is a hot topic, but full of pitfalls for the uninitiated.
