Location: TCEQ Computer Training Lab
Written for GIS professionals who have never programmed before, this workshop introduces attendees to the basics of scripting in Python: variables, loops, conditional statements, accessing GIS data, etc. via a series of short lecture presentations and hands-on “try-its” in which they write their first Python script. This course will be based on Python 2.7 (for ArcMap) but where differences exist for Python 3.x (for ArcGIS Pro), they will be discussed and explained.
