Addressing in ArcGIS for NextGen 9-1-1

This courses is written for addressing coordinators and anyone who creates, maintains, or otherwise works with address and street data in a GIS.

As NextGen 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) is implemented, addressing coordinators and other emergency response professinals are using ArcGIS as a tool to create and maintain the streets and addresses that make up the addressing model for a region. This course introduces the ArcGIS software using roads, address points, ESA boundaries and other datasets used in NG9-1-1. It teaches the tools that an address coordinator will need to explore, query, and maintain their addressing GIS database.

Prerequisites: Knowledge of Microsoft Windows® and basic understanding of 9-1-1 data and workflows.

Withdrawal from a course after registration has been submitted takes place on occasion. Students must submit written notice no later than 10 business days prior to the first day of the scheduled session. Email is an acceptable form of written communication. The course fee will be refunded, minus a $60 processing fee.


Refunds cannot be made for withdrawals initiated within 10 days of the first day of the scheduled class. However, the registration and payment may be honored for the same class topic held at a future date within the same fiscal year (09/01 - 08/31).

Refunds will not be granted for participant no-shows.


Student substitutions are allowed with 3-days written notice prior to the start of the course.
